Acer AL1916W vs ViewSonic VX924 lcd monitor shopping review
Both models have the same 19" screen size. Graphic professionals might find Acer AL1916W model with its 1440x900 maximum screen resulution more preferable. These TFT monitors have decent response times of their pixels. Since AL1916W has luminance 300cd/m2 it can produce much brighter picture than VX924 which has luminance 270cd/m2. Both LCD monitors have poor contrast ratio (VX924 has 550:1 and AL1916W has 500:1). Both monitors have poor viewable horizontal angle (160º at VX924 and 150º at AL1916W) so they aren't quite confortable for watching . Vertical viewing angle is bad on both monitors (160º at ViewSonic VX924 and 130º at Acer AL1916W) for watching movies. Both monitors have VGA input so you can connect them to older video cards. Presence of DVI allows you to connect ViewSonic VX924 with some new graphic cards. More Information
