Acer AL1706AB vs ViewSonic VG2021M tft monitor reviews
Screen size on ViewSonic VG2021M is larger, 20" comparing to 17" on Acer AL1706AB.
For people who likes higher screen resolutions, 1400x1050 on VG2021M might be preferable than 1280x1024 on AL1706AB.
Pixel response time on monitors is 8ms and you should not expirience so called "ghosts" on them.
Since VG2021M has luminance 300cd/m2 it can produce much brighter picture than AL1706AB which has luminance 270cd/m2.
Contrast ratio is poor on monitors (500:1 on both).
These LCD monitors are poor choice for watching tv programs or movies since they haven't decent horizontal viewing angles (VG2021M has 170º and AL1706AB has 140º).

Both monitors have VGA input so you can connect them to older graphic cards.
DVI input which ViewSonic VG2021M monitor has allows you to use it on new video cards.
