Acer AL1706AB vs ViewSonic VA903b lcd monitor comparison
We liked 19" monitor size on ViewSonic VA903b quite better than 17" monitor size at Acer AL1706AB. Both of compared LCD monitors : Acer AL1706AB and ViewSonic VA903b have the same maximum screen resolution (1280x1024). These TFT monitors have decent response of their pixels (8 ms). ViewSonic VA903b can produce very bright picture (300 cd/m2), but Acer AL1706AB cannot since its brightness is 270 cd/m2. Contrast is very good only on ViewSonic VA903b (700:1), the another model has poor contrast (500:1). Both monitors have poor viewable horizontal angle (160º at VA903b and 140º at AL1706AB) so they aren't quite confortable for watching . Verical angle is 160º on VA903b and 130 ºon AL1706AB and those values makes them unsuitable for watching movies. No model has DVI so you cannot connect them to new graphic cards. More Information
