Acer AL2216Wbd vs Samsung SyncMaster 970P lcd monitor reviews
We liked 22" monitor on Acer AL2216Wbd quite better than 19" monitor size at Samsung SyncMaster 970P. Acer AL2216Wbd lcd monitor has better maximum screen resolution - 1680x1050, in contrast to 1280x1024 at Samsung SyncMaster 970P. These monitors have decent response times (with 5ms on AL2216Wbd and 6ms on SyncMaster 970P). Picture on AL2216Wbd could be very bright (300 cd/m2), but we cannot say the same for SyncMaster 970P (250cd/m2) Contrast ratio is good on these tft monitors (SyncMaster 970P has 1000:1 and AL2216Wbd has 700:1). Both monitors have good viewable horizontal angle (178º at SyncMaster 970P and 170º at AL2216Wbd) so they are quite confortable for watching movies. These TFT monitors are nice for watching tv programs or movies on them since they have decent vertical viewing angles (SyncMaster 970P has 178º and AL2216Wbd has 160º). Disadvantage of Acer AL2216Wbd is lack of VGA input for connection to some older video cards. Both of these monitors have DVI to connect them to new video cards. More Information
