Acer AL2216W vs Samsung SyncMaster 940BW lcd monitor comparison
We liked 22" monitor size on Acer AL2216W significantly better than 19" monitor size at Samsung SyncMaster 940BW. Acer AL2216W lcd monitor has better maximum screen resolution - 1680x1050, in contrast to 1440x900 at Samsung SyncMaster 940BW. These monitors are wide - they have aspect ratio 16:9. These monitors have decent response times of their pixels (with 4ms on SyncMaster 940BW and 5ms on AL2216W). These monitors have brightness 300cd/m2 and that means they can have very bright picture. Contrast ratio is very good only on Acer AL2216W (700:1), the another monitor has poor contrast (500:1). Horizontal viewing angle is bad on both monitors (170º at Acer AL2216W and 160º at Samsung SyncMaster 940BW) for watching . Vertical viewing angle is poor on both monitors (160º).
