Acer AL2017bmd vs Samsung SyncMaster 740N tft monitor shopping review
We prefere 20 inch wide screen size at model AL2017bmd than 17 built at model SyncMaster 740N. For people who likes higher screen resolutions, 1400x1050 on AL2017bmd might be preferable than 1280x1024 on SyncMaster 740N. Both monitors have standard aspect ratio (4:3) - they aren't wide. Both of compared monitors have decent pixel response times (8 ms). With its brightness of 300cd/m2 we can say that these TFT monitors can provide very bright picture. These monitors have good contrast ( ratio of 600:1). Both monitors have poor viewable horizontal angle (160º at SyncMaster 740N and 150º at AL2017bmd) so they aren't confortable for watching movies. Verical angle is 160º on SyncMaster 740N and 130 ºon AL2017bmd and those values makes them unsuitable for watching movies. Acer AL2017bmd has DVI needed by new video cards. More Information
