Acer AL2016W vs Samsung SyncMaster 940BW tft monitor comparison
We liked 20.1" monitor on Acer AL2016W quite better than 19" monitor size at Samsung SyncMaster 940BW. If you like higher screen resolutions than you might decide that Acer AL2016W is better with 1680x1050 than Samsung SyncMaster 940BW with 1440x900. Both monitors are wide. Acer AL2016W has aspect ratio 16:10 and Samsung SyncMaster 940BW has 16:9. These monitors have good response times. With its brightness of 300cd/m2 we can say that these monitors can provide very bright picture. Contrast ratio is 600:1 on Acer AL2016W which is good. But Samsung SyncMaster 940BW has contrast ratio only 500:1. Horizontal viewing angle is bad on both monitors (160º at Samsung SyncMaster 940BW and 140º at Acer AL2016W) for watching . Verical angle is 160º on SyncMaster 940BW and 130 ºon AL2016W and those values makes them unsuitable for watching movies. DVI input which has Samsung SyncMaster 940BW is its adventage.
