Acer AL1916W vs Samsung SyncMaster 940BW tft monitor shopping reviews

The same 19" screen size is on both Acer AL1916W and Samsung SyncMaster 940BW. Maximum screen resolution (1440x900) is same on both LCD monitors.

These monitors are wide. These monitors have good response times.

With its brightness of 300cd/m2 we can say that these LCD monitors can provide very bright picture. Contrast ratio is poor on monitors (500:1 on both). Horizontal angle is 160º on SyncMaster 940BW and 150 ºon AL1916W and those values makes them unsuitable for watching . Verical angle is 160º on SyncMaster 940BW and 130 ºon AL1916W and those values makes them unsuitable for watching movies.

These TFT monitors have VGA input for connection to older graphic cards. Only Samsung SyncMaster 940BW has DVI input which allows you to connect it to newer video cards.
