Acer AL1706AB vs Samsung 920N tft monitor reviews
Screen size on Samsung 920N is larger, 19" comparing to 17" on Acer AL1706AB. Maximum screen resolution (1280x1024) is same on both TFT monitors. Both LCD monitors have good response times (8ms). These TFT monitors cannot provide very bright picture (AL1706AB has luminance 270cd/m2 and 920N has 250cd/m2). Contrast ratio is very good only on Samsung 920N (700:1), the another model has poor contrast ratio (500:1). Both monitors have poor viewable horizontal angle (160º at 920N and 140º at AL1706AB) so they aren't confortable for watching movies. Both monitors have poor viewable vertical angle (160º at 920N and 130º at AL1706AB) so they aren't quite confortable for watching movies. No model has DVI input so you cannot connect them to some new video cards. More Information
