Acer AL2016W vs Apple M9177LL tft monitor shopping reviews
We prefere more 20.1" screen size on Acer AL2016W than 20" screen size on Apple M9177LL. Maximum declared screen resolution (1680x1050) is on both TFT monitors in this comparison. Both LCD monitors are wide. You shall not have ghost feeling when scrolling on Acer AL2016W due to pixel response time of 8ms, but we cannot say same for Apple M9177LL since pixel response time is 16ms. Since AL2016W has luminance 300cd/m2 it can produce much brighter picture than M9177LL which has luminance 250cd/m2. AL2016W has good contrast (600:1) but that is not the case with M9177LL (400:1). Horizontal angle is 170º on M9177LL and 140 ºon AL2016W and those values makes them unsuitable for watching . These TFT monitors are poor choice for watching tv programs or movies since they haven't nice vertical viewing angles (M9177LL has 170º and AL2016W has 130º). If you want to be able to connect your monitor to older computers, Apple M9177LL isn't good choice due to lack of VGA input. DVI input which has Apple M9177LL is its adventage. More Information
